Traditionally offered at either midnight or sunrise, the Great Vigil of Easter invites us to connect with the story of Christian faith as we await the Resurrection of Christ. Gathering first around a sacred fire, we light the Paschal Candle and proceed to hear Scripture read. We renew our baptismal vows and at the appointed time we transition to the first celebrations of Easter.
For our shared Easter Vigil with the four Anglican Parishes of Burnaby, we will begin a little earlier in the evening at 7:30. Our preacher will be the Rev Monte Tugwete, Interim Priest-in-Charge at St Alban's.
