Since 1976, St Stephen's has operated an all-volunteer run Thrift Shop offering used items for sale to the wider community at reasonable prices. Currently, the Thrift Shop specializes in gently used clothing for women and men (including a good supply of women's plus sizes), housewares, books, and jewellery.

Thrift Shop Sales:

  • When: 10 am – 2 pm on the 3rd Saturday of each month (Look under Events to see our next sale date!)
  • Where: St Stephen's Lower Hall, accessible on the west side of the church building

Donations:

Please note: We are only accepting donations by prior arrangement as we have a very high inventory. Email thriftshop@ststephenburnaby.ca to see if your items can be accommodated at this time.

We accept donations of sell-able clothing for adults, adult-sized shoes, accessories, housewares, linens, working small appliances, games, puzzles, and books. We are also interested in craft supplies.  We do not accept children's clothing, chipped dishware, furniture, or the remains of a previous garage sale. It is best to email thriftshop@ststephenburnaby.ca before bringing any donations to the church. Please do not leave donations on church property; items must be accepted by a Thrift Shop volunteer.

Volunteering:

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact thriftshop@ststephenburnaby.ca for more information. Volunteers are needed for sorting and pricing as well as for sale days.

  • When is sorting: 10 am – 12 pm each Thursday (except the Thursday after a Thrift Sale Saturday)
  • Where: Lower Hall
