Earlier this week, the Archbishop's Office released a guiding document with a four phase plan to help our parishes re-open to public in-person worship, regular in-person formation and fellowship opportunities, outreach ministries, and to our community groups who use our buildings. You can find that information on the website of the Diocese of New Westminster.
If you follow the link, you will discover that re-opening is not as simple as opening the doors and saying, "Y'all come!" In order to ensure that our re-opening is safe and that we are doing all we can to protect our staff, volunteers, and community members, we will be establishing a number of new practices. As a result, St Stephen's continues to have a number of unknowns within our planning.
We know for sure that there will be no in-person worship until at the earliest June 14, 2020 and that a return by our user groups will be some time after that. We know for sure that we are doing everything we can to build a safe and practical plan to bring people back into the building. Please feel free to be in touch if you have any further questions about our re-opening. We will do our best to answer them, even if we have to say a few more "I don't know yet"s.
Your parish leadership has begun working on and planning for our return to worship. We need some information from you to help guide us in these decisions. Please take a few minutes to provide us with some feedback using this simple survey: https://forms.gle/6nnLxDEt6RpeYp7Z7.
Thank you so much.
