Season of Creation

The Season of Creation, from September 1st through October 4th, is an ecumenical movement to join thousands of Christians on six continents in a time of turning our attention towards God’s creation. In this season, our worship and preaching will consider this year’s theme: “A Home for All? Renewing the Oikos of God.” Oikos is the Greek word for home or household. The theme is meant to be a reflection on the integral web of relationships that sustain the well-being of the Earth. Our prayers and sermons will reflect these themes and we will end this season with our annual celebration of St Francis with a pet blessing.
