St Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church is a small Anglican parish near Lougheed Mall in Burnaby which has successfully worshiped via Zoom meetings throughout the pandemic. As we move to incorporate worshippers in the building as well as those remaining on Zoom, we are seeking a Worship Tech Support Person to manage the technical side, to troubleshoot the system, and to train volunteers to run it.
We have a setup using a Windows laptop to host the Zoom meeting, pulling sound from our sound system into the Zoom meeting and sharing the Zoom call through a large TV via HDMI cable. We have a Mevo camera controlled from the laptop using NDI Tools providing the video feed into the Zoom call. Our music team (a singer or two and an organist) and the primary leader of worship are in the building, but some of our leaders are still participating by Zoom.
We are seeking someone to manage the technical issues with the Zoom call and manage the sound system in the building during our worship services on Sunday mornings. The tasks include audio and video checks, launching the Zoom meeting, following the pieces of the worship service to adjust the camera feed and share video clips into the meeting, and ensuring the audio both in the building and on Zoom is functioning.
