On November 30th, 2019, the Parish Hall at St Stephen's the Martyr was buzzing! We opened the Christmas Market at 10am with some very eager shoppers who flocked to our Vintage Jewelery and Gifts table. Also busy throughout the day was the ever popular homebaking table. Our crafts table looked amazing with many hats, scarfs, and some adorable reindeer. Bidding at the Silent Auction table was not as fierce as some years, but by the end of the day many a great deal (and a bottle of wine!) found happy highest bidders. Raffle ticket sales were steady and one lucky winner had his numbers pulled twice! New to us this Christmas Market was the inclusion of our popular Spring Tea venders including Cookies by Christina, Om My Jewelery, Ashley's Epicure, Emerald & Ginger, ThreeJax, and Little Dart Designs. Another successful new addition was a Nativity Scene display in the worship space. Throughout the day, the kitchen team kept everyone fed with soups, hot dogs, and many cups of tea and coffee.
Many thanks to Janet P and Val K for their work coordinating, for the many area leaders and day-off volunteers, and to all our shoppers! We look forward to seeing you at the Spring Tea in 2020!
