Summer New to You Garage Sale Reports

It has been the practice of the St Stephen's Thrift Shop to hold their summer New to You Markets under tents on the front parking lot.

In July, we had torrential rains and then in August: the heat… Our great volunteers were out early to set up tents and tables. Some of our clientele were there too! So some of them clearly believe the early bird gets the worm. But not all of them, as we had a small rush with customers arrving just under the wire. It was a very busy day throughout. There were lots of great bargains for those who came to shop. 

It was good to see so many more new faces as well as our regulars. Some just come to say hi and many had to say how glad they were that we are there.  We were able to help out some in the community with some gift coupons to help them get through as they struggle with homelessness or near homelessness. 

Our total for August (after a recalculation) came to $1517.00! A record breaker!
